Singing competition “Vera Kovač Vitkai” was held for the first time in November 2014 at “Isidor Bajić” Music School in Novi Sad. Honorary member of the jury was prima donna herself, Professor MA Vera Kovač Vitkai.

László Vitkay – Kucsera
Soprano Ljiljana Lišković started her music education as a violinist at “Isidor Bajić” Music School in her hometown of Novi Sad, Serbia. She studied opera singing at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Vienna, Austria with Helena Lazarska, Margarita Lilova and Claudia Visca. She graduated with Magistra Artium. Ljiljana received many scholarships, most notably by Tokyo Foundation and Karl Mihael Zierer in Vienna, and Tyll-Durr Foundation from Switzerland. She was the winner of many international opera competitions such as the International Singing Competition “Citta di Bologna”, International Singing Competition “Citta di Ferrara”, International Singing Competition “Martinelli-Pertile” in Montagnana, International Singing Competition „Rolando Nicolosi“ in Rome, International Singing Competition Giacomo Lauri- Volpi in Latina, International Singing Competition “Magda Olivero” in Milan and International Singing Competition “Anselmo Colzani” in Budrio, Italy. Ljiljana Lisković collaborated with Sommerakademie Salzburg, and appeared at the Schoenbrunn Theater in Vienna, at the Sommerfestspiele “Mozart in Rheinsberg” in Austria, at the Le Petit Festval du Theatre in Dubrovnik, Croatia, at the “Constantinus” Festival in Nis, Serbia, at the Opera Pienza Festival in Tuscany, at Canto Festival di Amandola, at the Festival “Cultura dello Spirito” in Cabella Ligure and at the Auditorium “Leonardo Da Vinci” in San Dona di Piave, in Italy, in the “Guardassoni” Theatre and at the Auditorium Manzoni Theatre, both in Bologna, in Teatro Comunale di Treviso, at Sala grande del Circolo Sersanti and at the “Ebbe Stignani” Theatre in Imola, at Ca’ Rezzonico and La Chiesa della Pieta’ in Venice, in theaters in Budrio and Ferrara in Italy, as well as at the Serbian National Theater in Novi Sad. Guest appearances have taken her to Austria, Italy, Spain, Germany, Croatia, Serbia and Japan where she has performed the roles such as the Queen of the night (The Magic flote), Adina (The Elixir of Love ), Emi (Albert Herring), Musetta and Mimi (La Boheme), Olympia (The Tales of Hoffmann), Liu (Turandot), Amelia Grimaldi (Simone Boccanegra). Ljiljana Lisković regularly performs as a concert singer and can be heard as soprano solo in Vivaldi’s Gloria, Haydn’s Nelson Mass, Beethoven’s Ninth Symphony, as well as in the chamber song repertoire by Beethoven, Schubert and Spanish composers. She collaborated with pianists Gaspar Hunt, Carlo Gizzi, Galina Pivovarova, Natasa Veljković, Valentina Nenaševa, Aleksandra Rakić and Strahinja Đokić, as well as with the outstanding guitarist Zoran Krajišnik. Ljiljana Lisković is a professor at the Academy of Arts in Novi Sad and was giving masterclasses in Serbia, Montenegro and Italy. Her mentor is world renowned bariton Zeljko Lučić.
